Our Speckled Clay Mugs come with a story of redemption! They clay that composes these mugs comes from the mountains of Haiti. There the clay is traditionally used by mothers to make “mud pies” in order to curb the hunger pangs of their starving children. Though it has not nutritional value it fills their little bellies. Now the same clay is being harvested, processed, and thrown into beautifully crafted vessels that afford these same mothers the opportunity to feed, clothe, and send their children to school. It doesn’t get more beautiful than that!
